Shane has been a senior partner and director of several leading international corporate advisory and corporate strategy firms prior to being a founder of Mainsheet. He has broad experience in working with the management teams and boards of top 200 companies around high value transactional and strategic decisions.
His corporate advisory and corporate strategy philosophy is centred around measuring success in terms of client outcomes and their improved shareholder value creation performance.
Shane has a proven track record in relation to mergers, acquisitions, business divestments, privatisations, capital raising, corporate portfolio strategy, growth strategy as well as business restructuring and turnaround.
His industry experience includes mining, energy, engineering and construction, utilities, infrastructure services, defence, health, transport, communications, manufacturing and processing.
Shane has extensive senior advisory experience as well as many years as managing director and Board member of several international firms and prior to that operational management experience in the mining and oil & gas industry.
Prior to co-founding Mainsheet, Shane was a Partner at PwC where he was the National Head Mining and Oil & Gas Corporate Advisory practice. Shane also spend 10 years as joint MD of Mainsheet Corporate (which was acquired by PwC in 2009), 5 years as a Partner at LEK Consulting (Regional Manager S.E. Asia), 6 years at Marakon Associates and 4 years with Schlumberger in the Middle East.
Shane holds a MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and Diploma Mechanical Engineering (Adelaide), MBA (AGSM)

Stephen is an experienced corporate advisor with a blend of M&A, strategy and engineering skills. His experience includes over 10 years in corporate advisory and management consultancy and over 10 years in the commercial property industry in a variety of roles.
Stephen’s advisory experience includes M&A, divestments, capital raisings, business unit strategy, commercial due diligence and design & implementation of performance improvement initiatives.
His industry experience includes mining, oil & gas, ports, transport & logistics, equipment hire, utilities, defence, construction, FMCG, financial services, technology and manufacturing.
Prior to joining Mainsheet, Stephen worked as an independent advisor for several years and before that he held senior positions in PwC Advisory and Mainsheet Corporate.
Before becoming an advisor and management consultant, Stephen worked within AMP Capital Investor’s Commercial & Industrial Property Division as a Regional Operations Manager and was responsible for the operational management and business planning for over $2 billion of property assets in QLD and NSW. Stephen was also the Development Engineer on a $250 million retail property development and began his career as an electrical engineer.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from the University of Sydney and an MBA (Executive) from the Australian Graduate School of Management.

Dan has 17 years of experience advising large and mid-size organisations on customer-led growth strategy, transaction advisory and performance improvement.
Dan’s strategy experience includes growth strategy, customer experience, customer value propositions, digital experience strategy and design, channel strategy and strategic sourcing. His corporate advisory experience includes buy-side and sell-side mandates, acquisition-led growth strategy, valuation modelling, investment analysis and commercial due diligence.
His industry experience includes telecommunications, government, manufacturing, financial services, construction materials, mining services and IT.
Prior to Mainsheet, spent 9 years leading customer and digital transformation strategy at Optus and the Department of Human Services. During his time at Optus, Dan worked with the executive team to develop the ‘Brilliant Service’ strategy, one of the 3 major pillars across the Consumer & SMB business, bringing together the CX vision, strategic analysis, key initiatives and capital investment plan across web, app, call centre, retail, product, loyalty and supply chain. This supported Optus lifting its NPS from negative double-digits to +12. He also led the strategy and design for all-digital experiences including NBN, mobile onboarding and digital service. Dan also worked with the Department of Human Services to build its 10-year vision for service delivery, as well as its 3-year mobile-led digital strategy.
Before that, Dan was a senior manager with PwC Strategy and Mainsheet Corporate, after starting his career in IT consulting and programming with EDS Australia.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Information Technology from the University of Technology, Sydney, and an MBA from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management.
