    • Mainsheet Capital was the corporate advisor to the Australian founding shareholders of MPC Group and successfully led the sale process and the complex three-way negotiations between the buyers, the Australian founding shareholders and their UK based JV partner (J. Murphy & Sons).
    • MPC Group is a leading provider of pipeline, civil construction and specialist well services in the oil & gas, water, power and mining industries.
    • Mainsheet worked closely with the MPC management team and the founding shareholders to characterise the business’s technical capabilities, its track record of operational innovation, its market position and its strong growth prospects into technical well-based services, adjacent sectors and internationally.
    • Considering the specialist nature of many of the capabilities and assets and the potential to apply these internationally, Mainsheet marketed the sale of MPC Group worldwide and attracted 18 bidders comprising international trade and PE buyers as well as Australian trade and PE.
    • MPC Group has been acquired by a consortium comprising of Viburnum Funds from Perth and SCF Partners from Houston, USA – both specialist resources and oil & gas private equity investment funds who have stated their attraction to MPC’s growth potential as well as the depth and experience of the management team.
